1/3 cup finely chopped pecans
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup light corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
30 mini fillo shells
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together brown sugar, corn syrup, vanilla, salt and egg. Spoon 2 tsp. filling into each shell and sprinkle chopped pecans over mixture. Bake for 20 minutes.
I'm not a huge pecan pie fan, but for some reason I LOVE these little treats.

These things were awesome. They tasted like little bites of baklava. And the nutritional content isn't nearly as bad as I imagined! Only 50 calories and 2 grams of fat for each one. Of course, if you can eat only 1 I'll send you a dollar.
I used lite-light karo because Chuck accidentally bought it once. Also, I never have pecans, but use walnuts instead. They still turned out yummy.
You can bake them in mini-muffin tins, or on a cookie sheet.
So glad you liked them. We love love love these! They are such a great finger food!
