OK, quick poll:
Do you like chorizo (aka spicy pig lips and lymph nodes)?
I have never been able to get past this imagery. Is it tasty?
didn't know that's what they were.....gross, um....yeah i DID like it, but i may opt for something else now.....sorry. ;(
from wikipedia:
"It is an urban legend that 'authentic' Mexican style chorizo, either pork or beef consists of only lips and salivary glands rather than the muscle cuts."
Ri-i-ght! So it's not "ONLY lips and salivary glands."
Let's read on: "It often contains varietal parts of the animal, such as cheeks, salivary glands or lymph nodes."
But that's not the point. Hot dogs and breakfast links in the US certainly contain some lippage too. It's just that I loved to eat them before becoming aware of the contents.
So...quick poll: Do you like chorizo?
response to poll: never tried it. but looks like i should...
